Over de functie
You will be working for a company that specializes in hatches and hatch cranes in the national and international industrial and maritime sectors. As a field service technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining hatch trucks and the associated systems used for opening and closing ship hatches. Additionally, you will also be in contact with the crew. The primary language on the ships is almost always English. To communicate effectively with the crew, it is essential that you have a good command of the English language. Most of the work will take place in the Delfzijl and Harlingen regions, but you may also be required to carry out projects in other parts of the Netherlands or even Europe. In that case, accommodation will be arranged for you. The candidate we are looking for is a motivated go-getter with technical insight who enjoys tinkering. A completed education is not necessary for this position, as you will be trained internally to become an independent technician.
Wat wij bieden
Abiant offers you a challenging position where you will be trained to become an independent field service technician. If both parties are satisfied, there is the possibility of permanent employment with our client in the future. If you are 21 years or older, you will receive a salary between €17 per hour. The salary amount depends on your age and experience. You can choose whether you want to be paid for overtime or take it as time off at a mutually agreed time. Additionally, you will be provided with a fully equipped service van.

- Flexible and willing to work irregular hours;
- Excellent communication skills in English;
- VCA certificate or willingness to obtain it;
- Valid driver’s license B.

It is a young company with at least 25 years of experience in all types of hatches and hatch cranes in the national and international industrial and maritime sectors. They specialize in hatch cover parts and services. The company offers all kinds of high-quality spare parts for ships. The headquarters and warehouse are located in Delfzijl.
